Our cycle of Brahms symphonies is competed by the passionate First, the work in which the composer acknowledges Beethoven's legacy while asserting his stylistic independence. We are delighted to welcome Tom Lowe - a cellist with strong local connections - as our soloist in Elgar's perennially popular Concerto in e minor.
