You can find the names of performers in the YSO concerts from 1899 to the present. (No information is available for the concerts performed between 1933 and the outbreak of the 2nd World War, for the concerts performed between 1948 and 1955, and for several more recent concerts).

To display a list of all the players for a particular concert, select the concert from the following menu and click "Display".

To find a name, type it in the following box and click "Search". A list of the players in the section in the concert where the name occurs will be displayed.
Note that the search will find any name containing the letters you type; thus, 'green' will find not only 'Green' but also 'Greenaway', 'Greenwood', 'Greenland' and 'Greengrass', while 'ward' will find not only 'Ward' but also 'Wardman', 'Howard', 'Edward' and 'Edwards'.

You can use either lower case or capital letters; "Smith", "SMITH" or "smith" will give the same result. Do not enclose the name in inverted commas.

Notes:

• the records are incomplete: not all concert programmes are available, and not all give a list of players;
• the records are not always accurate: then as now, concert programmes cannot take account of last minute changes;
• the records are not always precise: first names or initials are not always given, and where different players have the same name it is not always possible to identify who is meant;
• the spelling of names is not always consistent, though obvious errors have been corrected and the spelling has been regularised as far as possible.
